Mont-de-Marsan and the Landes
Close to our charming hotel
Located in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the town of Mont-de-Marsan is ideal for exploring the beauty and heritage of the Inner Landes which has so much to offer regarding history, food and drink, lifestyle, nature and culture. Far from the rush of the Atlantic coast, come and rejuvenate inland and experience a unique place between the ocean and the forest.
From our charming hotel in the town centre of Mont-de-Marsan, you’ll be able to explore the capital of the Landes on foot. Right nearby, you’ll find the museums and art galleries (indeed, Mont-de-Marsan is a town full of sculptures), the parks and gardens, the arenas, as well as a plethora of aquatic and cycling activities.
Within a 40 km radius of the Hotel Richelieu, head to the Landes d’Armagnac in the east of the department. Here you’ll find remarkable sites with charming walled towns with excellent markets (including Labastide d’Armagnac, Saint Justin and Mauvezin d’Armagnac), as well as the Marquèze Eco-Museum at the heart of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park. There’s also the old medieval town of Saint-Sever, nestled atop a cliff overlooking the Adour river where the pine trees of the Landes meet the rolling hills of the Chalosse area.
